What We Do & Who We’re Looking For

At Nowell’s In-Home Helpers, we provide non-touch support services that help seniors live comfortably and confidently at home. Our team helps with errands, pet care, light housekeeping, companionship, laundry, and small meal prep — all with warmth and reliability.

We’re looking for caring, dependable people who are ready to make a difference in someone’s day.

To join our team, you must:

  • Be 21 or older
  • Have a valid driver’s license and an insured vehicle (2010 or newer)
  • Be able to pass a background check
  • Be able to lift 10–40 lbs and move safely
  • Have a smartphone and receive direct deposit
  • Be professional, punctual, and ready to serve with a smile

Frequently Asked Questions

No. We accept CNA and non-CNA applicants, as long as you meet the requirements below and have a heart for service.

No. We provide non-touch assistance only. This includes companionship, errands, pet care, and light home help.

Yes. You’ll complete a short 1-hour orientation before your first assignment so you feel confident and prepared.

We serve clients in Cabarrus, Iredell, Mecklenburg, and Gaston Counties.

All team members are paid via direct deposit.

Most assignments are independent, one-on-one with a client. You’ll always have support from the office if you need anything.
